Please be informed that from 10:30 pm (New Delhi time, IST) on February 11, 2026, until 4:30 am(New Delhi time, IST) on February 18, 2026, the VIS operating system will undergo a temporary operational shutdown.
This is a scheduled and urgent technical intervention that will result in the temporary suspension of the reception and processing of visa applications, as well as the issuance of entry visas. This suspension will affect the operations of both the Visa Office at the Consulate General of Italy in Bengaluru and the centers managed by the outsourcing partner, VFS Global, in Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai.
Please be informed that, in order to minimize inconvenience to users, appointments that have already been scheduled will be rescheduled for the days immediately before or after the period affected by the operational halt, taking due account of priority needs and urgent cases.
