{"id":3499,"date":"2026-03-06T10:32:01","date_gmt":"2026-03-06T05:02:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/consbangalore.esteri.it\/?p=3499"},"modified":"2026-03-06T10:36:34","modified_gmt":"2026-03-06T05:06:34","slug":"italian-contemporary-dance-in-bangalore-egribiancodanza-double-performance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/consbangalore.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dal_consolato\/2026\/03\/italian-contemporary-dance-in-bangalore-egribiancodanza-double-performance\/","title":{"rendered":"Italian Contemporary Dance in Bangalore: EgriBiancoDanza Double Performance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Consulate General of Italy in Bengaluru, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Mumbai and the Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts, promoted a tour by the Italian contemporary dance company <strong>EgriBiancoDanza<\/strong>, directed by choreographer Raphael Bianco.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative, presented within the framework of the <strong>Attakkalari India Biennial<\/strong>, brought two performances to Bangalore and attracted significant public participation, contributing to strengthening cultural dialogue between Italy and India.<\/p>\n<p>The first performance, <strong>Leonardo da Vinci \u2013 Anatomie Spirituali<\/strong>, was staged on <strong>1 March 2026 <\/strong>at the prestigious multifunctional venue, Sabha BLR. Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci\u2019s anatomical studies, the work offers a choreographic reflection on the relationship between body, mind and the spiritual dimension.<\/p>\n<p>On <strong>3 March 2026<\/strong>, the second performance,\u00a0 <strong>M\u2019illumino d\u2019immenso<\/strong>, took place at the Alliance Fran\u00e7aise de Bangalore, whose title draws from the well-known verse by Italian poet <strong>Giuseppe Ungaretti<\/strong>. The piece unfolds through three choreographic sections exploring, through dance, the relationship between the physical and inner dimensions of human experience.<\/p>\n<p>Both performances were <strong>sold out<\/strong> and warmly received by the audience, with prolonged applause at the end of the shows.<\/p>\n<p>The productions are presented by the <strong>Fondazione Egri per la Danza \u2013 EgriBiancoDanza<\/strong>, in collaboration with <strong>Fondazione CROSS<\/strong>, with the support of the <strong>Italian Ministry of Culture<\/strong>, the <strong>Regione Piemonte<\/strong>, and <strong>Fondazione CRT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative forms part of the Consulate General of Italy in Bangalore\u2019s commitment to strengthening cultural exchanges and promoting contemporary Italian culture in Southern India.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Consulate General of Italy in Bengaluru, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Mumbai and the Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts, promoted a tour by the Italian contemporary dance company EgriBiancoDanza, directed by choreographer Raphael Bianco.
