It is only competent for issuing certificates of <strong>extension of validity of driving licenses.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Consulate General cannot issue international driving licenses, which will have to be requested in the same place of issuing of the ordinary driving license.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Extension of validity of driving licenses<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the issuance of the certificate of extension of driving license it is necessary to book an appointment writing to <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">bangalore.consolare@esteri.it<\/span>, having previously collected the following documents:<\/p>\n<p>1)\u00a0 medical certificate issued by the medical doctor appointed by this Consulate General*;<\/p>\n<p>2) <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/consbangalore.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/PATENTE-MODULO-RICHIESTA-RINNOVO-2018.doc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">application form<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, duly filled;<\/p>\n<p>3)\u00a0 driving license, expired by no more than 5 years;<\/p>\n<p>4) 2 passport-size photographs;<\/p>\n<p>5) a copy of the passport.<\/p>\n<p>The applicant shall pay the consular fee (Extension: 50 Euro). In order to calculate the total amount, which shall be paid <strong>only in cash in Indian Rupees<\/strong>, please see the following <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/ambnewdelhi.esteri.it\/it\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/altri-servizi\/tariffe-consolari\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fees table<\/a><\/strong><\/span> and exchange rate decree published by the Embassy of Italy in New Delhi.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note that the certificate of extension is valid only while the holder is resident abroad. In case of return to Italy, they will have to address the competent authorities in Italy on the matter.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>*\u00a0 The medical certificate shall follow the prescribed <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/ambnewdelhi.esteri.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/patente_di_guida_medical_certificate.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">form<\/a><\/strong><\/span> and shall be issued by the appointed medical doctor.
